Whew! Blair and Diane have recently been off to the Peak Potentials' Life Directions seminar in Vancouver (excuse me, Richmond. Don’t let a Vancouverite hear me confuse the two! Would be like calling Leduc, Edmonton!!) Another wild three days with Harv Eker! A life-changing experience? Yup. It's what you come to expect when you get involved with Harv's programs.

As with his two previous seminars that we have both attended, we unanimously agree that this one was more than worthwhile. Not only did we learn a lot of valuable concepts (not a bad thing), we came away with the energy within ourselves, the spirit, to put them into practice (an awesome thing!). The feeling is like starting life over with a clean slate - like this is the first day of the rest of your life sort of thing. Is anyone out there ready to take on that responsibility? Strangely enough, although I used the word responsibility, it doesn't feel tedious, difficult, boring, dull, dreary, lackluster …. Rather it's exciting, exhilarating, interesting, appealing, stimulating, and motivating - something to flap my wings about! Funny how humans - and ravens - need to be kick-started every so often.

Dare to Dream
So, are you pursuing your dream? Are you doing what you love to do, if not in your day job then in your spare time? Have you ever even considered this idea? If not, why? Do you realize that you were put on this earth for a specific purpose? That you have a talent - that is, something to share that is totally and uniquely yours? In other words, no one else can do this specific thing the way you do it. Think about it, you really do make a difference. This world would not be complete without you! Okay, so how do you determine what your thing might be?

If you're interested, here's a process I've found to be revealing. Have you ever looked back on your life? I mean taken a really detailed journey back to your beginning, even before you were in the womb? Sound like a silly idea? What do you think you might learn about yourself if you jumped on that train? Consider for one minute the clarity you could achieve from such a voyage. Like to give it a try? Well then, hop on!

(Useful tools for this exercise would be photos of each stage I am about to introduce.) Take a couple of deep breaths, and begin by visualizing an image of your father or mother at their oldest (choose the parent that is the same gender as you), or even better, your grandfather or grandmother. Spend at least a minute with this visualization, or concentrating on the photo.

Then pick up a recent photo of yourself (or use a mirror). Take a couple of deep breaths, and spend a minute with this. Look once again, for a few moments, at the photo of your parent or grandparent, then back at the recent photo of yourself. Spend a few more moments with this.

Next, a couple more deep breaths, and visualize or look at a photo of yourself between the ages of 8 and 12 for a minute. Reflect momentarily back on the recent photo of yourself, then back to your younger self.

Now, first the cleansing breaths, then look at yourself as an infant, as young as possible. After you have spent a minute with this, look back at your recent photo.

Take some more deep breaths, and imagine for a minute yourself in the womb before you were born. Check back with your baby photo. You're not done yet!

Two more deep breaths, and visualize yourself before you were born - molecules floating around in space, waiting to come together at the hands of the Creator. Look back at yourself now.

Immediately following this exercise, write down any thoughts and feelings about your life that you experienced during this process. Don't think! Just let your words flow freely. Now, how do you feel about the direction your life has taken? Do you feel you're right on track? Or do you feel you've strayed way off course? You might be feeling somewhat unsure, although comfortable, but that you've not really reached your full potential, maybe that you’ve left areas unexplored, or things undone. Of course, if you're still living and breathing don't expect to have finished your mission here on this earth yet!

Waiting to Inhale
If you've participated in this journey of self-discovery, you're probably feeling quite exhausted by now. Or maybe you're feeling exhilarated, whether you found you were on the right track or not. Possibly you now know exactly what your next step should be. Most likely you haven't a clue! Getting in touch with your true self can be rather scary at times.

However, once you've uncovered it, you will be able to breathe a sigh of relief, even though you know that your work here on earth is only beginning, because in discovering your true purpose in life you will have found pure joy. You have a contribution to make, one that can only be made by you. If you ignore this fact, you will have left a void, and you will in due course feel this void and whither.

Okay, so now you're absolutely certain I've fallen out of my tree! That's fine by me. Whatever your story you can stick to it if you want, cuz I'm definitely sticking to mine! Happiness is our ultimate goal, and if you are truly happy - all the time - in spite of the obstacles that crop up in life, then you've already realized your mission, and you are living your dream. You can't ask for anymore than that.

A Road Map in Your Lunch Box
However, if you're still searching, or you're unsure and you think you could use some guidance, feel free to call Blair or Diane for more info. Peak Potentials' Life Directions course might be the right plan of action for you. I'll guarantee one thing, it's a heck of a lot of fun! And you will meet a lot of amazing people who just happen to be on the same journey as you. Did I mention that you could legitimately write this all off as a business expense? It's just another way your business can pay off for you.

Here's the thing: We don't believe we're only in business to sell sign equipment and supplies. An important part of our mission here at Corbins is to help you be the best you can be, whether in your business or as a person. And we believe that goes right back to your roots. It's what's at the very bottom of your soul that determines your success. If you are successful, your business will be successful. Some people might tell you it's the other way around, but I don't think so.

Having said all this, what can we do for you? Corbin Graphic Supplies - caring, competent, committed. Give us a call. Send us an email or fax. Drop in. We're here to serve your needs.

For your success,

Team Corbin
